1. As a class, we will read the short story "All Summer in a Day" on day one of the success block.
2. We will discuss the following aspects of the story on day two:
  • When was this story written?
  • What type of story is this?
  • What are the aspects of a Science Fiction story?
3. On day three, we will watch All Summer in a Day video on YouTube.
  • We will look at when the story was written and when the movie was made.
  • We will also look at how Science Fiction can drive Science Fact.
  • Vocabulary Study from story and video.
4. On day four, each student will write a short Science Fiction story.

5. Students will peer review and edit the stories written by each other, and create a final draft.
